With the transition to green energy, GeoGroup is taking positive steps and initiatives towards reducing our carbon footprint and aligning with the vision of a net-zero emissions future. The recent RockEng22 Symposium held by the Canadian Rock Mechanics Association (CARMA) at Queen’s University in Kingston was a perfect venue to portray such initiatives. A few members of our group traveled to the symposium in an electrical vehicle. During this trip, the group cut back its carbon footprint by about 0.15 metric tonnes. Although not a significant amount, it is a good start and a contribution towards a greener future.
