Xinting joined Prof. Grasselli’s geomechanics group as a visiting PhD candidate at the University of Toronto in 2020. She is currently a PhD candidate in the Faculty of Engineering at China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), China. She has finished her BASc in 2014 and MASc in 2017 at Chang’an University, China. Her research interests are numerical simulations, propagation features and damage model of discontinuous structural plane under the freeze-thaw cycles.
