Biography
Hosein graduated from Sharif University of Technology with a BSc in Civil and Environmental Engineering and an MSc in Geotechnical Engineering in 2015 and 2018, respectively. Then he completed a one-year Doctoral School from 2018 to 2019 in GeoEngineering. He has several years of experience doing research in the field of soil mechanics. Hosein joined the Rock Mechanics and Rock Physics group of Professor Grasselli in 2021 as a PhD student where he aims to broaden his knowledge in the field of Geomechanics. Hosein’s research interests include: Shallow and Deep Geothermal Systems, Hydraulic Fracturing, Thermo-Hydro-Mechanical Coupling in Porous Media, and Grain-Based Modeling of Geomaterials. He has also an interest to learn data science and its applications in Civil Engineering.
