Biography
Alvaro Opazo is a mining engineer from Chile, with his primary research focus based on FDEM and influence of fractures on the excavation and stability during the lifespan of a tunnel. Alvaro did an internship in the faculty of civil engineering at the “RWTH Aachen University” in Germany (2017). He also had working experience in “ALGES” laboratory at the “Universidad de Chile” (2019) and graduated as a “Ingeniero civil de minas” at the “Universidad de Talca” in 2021. Currently he is working towards his master thesis (2022) at the “Universidad de Talca” as a “Ingeniero Mecánico”
Alvaro likes watching professional sport. He also likes cycling, running, and lifting at the gym. He also plays the guitar, ukulele and a bit of keyboard. He also enjoys anime, and playing video games.
